We’re having a party and you’re invited #22×20
Join us! There are many opportunities for youth, educators, media and community organizations to be involved in the campaign.
The State of the Union (SOTU) address will be broadcast on January 30, 2018. We want to know what you think about the content of the speech and the state of our democracy.
The purpose of SOTU is for the President to update the American people on what he or she has done — and committed to do — to date. It is also an opportunity for the President to present his or her view on the future of the nation.
We’re eager to hear what President Donald Trump has to say, but we’re also eager to hear your updates on what you have done, what you are committed to do, and what your view is on the future of the nation.
The lead-up and debrief of this speech are a unique democratic opportunity outside of elections to talk about the issues facing the country.
You can participate in the dialogue by attending one of our action parties or on social media with the hashtag #22×20.Here’s how you can join:
- Share your opinions on the state of America and your reactions to the SOTU in the week leading up to and following January 30 with the hashtag #22×20
- Livestream our national “States of Youth” event, where we’ll be addressing the issues that teens today care most about
- Attend an action party in New York City, Austin, Chicago, or San Francisco
- Host a local action party at your school, house, or community center
Share your opinion on the state of your community, the key issues that should be addressed, and your vision for the country. We are listening.
