If I could have one superpower, it would be:
It would be teleportation because I love to travel and see new places and teleportation would give me a free travel experience to wherever I want, whenever I want.
How long have you been thinking about making change or engaging other youth in making change?
I have been thinking on making change since I was younger and until I was in the eighth grade year of middle school, I decided that I wanted to be part of student council. I want to be heard and wanted to be voice for something. When I first got involved in community engagement was my freshman year when I joined video broadcast at my school. I was interviewing and creating news media content and I was getting involved in community engagement.
Have there been any particularly important moments that keep you motivated?
The moments that keep me motivated on doing what I love which is video are the moment when I complete a video and I am completely amazed on my work. Those are the moments I enjoy the most. When a video I create is complete, it makes me want to keep making more.
Do you have any stories to share about that experience?
Over the summer I was a part of Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. That was one of the best experiences I have been honored to be a part of. During the student journalism institute my team and I got to create a news story from scratch. Since I was in charge of video in my team I got to record and edit. Once my team and I completed the video, I was extremely happy with myself and my team because our video looked outstanding.
What issues or problems matter to you?
The lack of voices being herd from teens all over the nation. Young adults not voting and not knowing what a huge change they can make if they do vote.
What motivates you to be involved in creating change in these areas? Did a life event or something that happened in the country/world make you want to take action?
What motivates you to be involved in creating change in these areas?
What motivates me in making change in these areas are past events that have happened in our country. In the past presidential election many people I knew were able to vote but were not voting because they did not know what change they could have been a part of, minor or major.
What do your friends and your family think of your involvement?
What my family and friends think of my involvement is that it is a great opportunity for me to put my foot in the door.
How do you feel that your work has made a difference?
Knowing that my work has or will make a difference is amazing, honestly it is a great feeling.
